In which I did not participate.
Such is the nature of humanity that we are defined as much or more by our failures than by our successes. For example I am the type of person to take responsibility to extremes, and thus it was inevitable that something should come up that would make it impossible for me to participate in week 6 of DnD Encounters. In this case it was surgery, the nature of which kept me from being able to sit in a car for any extended period. Ah such is life.I pre-arranged with one of the players to run this weeks encounter, so I may update this article to give a re-cap of sorts when I found out exactly what happened this past Wednesday. I am confident the game will resume with a minimum of distraction for week 7 and onwards.
PS If you were there, tell me what happened! I want to know, and also for historical purposes and all.
that article picture is filled with WIN.
I’ve never played in a D&D E, how long are they? A full quest ?
Well I can tell you what Pak’Cha did. Ran across the old bridge when Yuka was on it and snapped the bridge in half, manage to jump across to the other side in time but cut off half the party for the battle.
I started things off by doing my brand new daily which knocks enemies prone and creates cover. Then Yuka, Phye, Morg and I (Pak’Cha) manage to deal with the three rotting corpses, with the help of a couple of pop shots from the twins. Yuka missing almost every time but his grabbing attack dealt 3 damage regardless and that helped with the corpse regen. The floating cold orb caused havock and the slime didn’t get to do much before it was set on fire by the twins (who were stuck at the cave entrance). I got one corpse and the floating orb. Phye and Morg I believe got the other two corpses. Also had a new person so up, although she didn’t get a chance to play (got there at 6:40) but she is going to try to be there next time but she can’t get there to a little after six.
Look forward to seeing you next Wen.
False. Kindrok took down the other two corpses; the second with a critical hit on his daily… massive damage. All-and-all a good night for Kindrok, dealing out large amounts of damage in only a few turns. He however paid the price when the corpses he destroyed exploded all over him upon his fatal blows, bloodying Kindrok and leaving him in dire need of a bath.
Dave, glad you like the picture. It is out of the Player Strategy Guide (cropped). I was waiting for the right moment to use the art, but as no one has yet received a bag of pipe-weed holding magic item I thought vicoden induced haze is close enough. Might be the vicoden taking…
Boccob, Encounters is a great program – one encounter per week at your local game store from 6-8pm that is linked in an adventure that plays out over 15 weeks, and 1st to 3rd level in this season of encounters.
Jake n Jim, thanks for the play by play. It sounds like it was a great encounter. Cant wait for next week.
